The Klipsch SPL Series subwoofers are a step-up from our Reference Series, offering best-in-class MAX output levels at affordable prices. These high-performance subwoofers feature Cerametallic woofers that are exceptionally light and extremely rigid, delivering remarkable low-frequency response with minimal cone breakup and distortion. This allows for higher, cleaner output using less amplifier power.
The built-in, high-efficiency amplifier in the SPL Series employs an analog preamp design, which preserves the original signal path for cleaner, true-to-source reproduction. The class D output stage ensures maximum efficiency for maximum output, detail, and low-frequency power.
Proprietary internal geometry minimizes port noise, ensuring clean and undistorted low frequencies. The front-firing design offers placement flexibility, and the optional Klipsch WA-2 wireless subwoofer kit (sold separately) allows for high-resolution wireless connectivity, enabling easy placement anywhere in your room and optimizing output and low-frequency response. You can even connect up to four WA-2 wireless kits to compatible Klipsch subwoofers in a single room for a completely wireless setup.
To further enhance the user experience, the SPL Series subwoofers feature a low-pass crossover and variable phase control, allowing you to tune the subwoofer to your Klipsch speakers and your room, establishing the ideal level of bass. The line-level/LFE RCA inputs ensure compatibility with home theater receivers, and both the RCA and wireless inputs can be utilized, giving you the ability to use a single subwoofer with multiple systems in the same room.
For example, you can use the wireless input for your home theater setup and the RCA input for your 2-channel system, without needing to switch inputs when changing between systems. The exceptional efficiency of the SPL Series subwoofers extends to both on and off states, meeting global efficiency standards and reducing energy costs for the user.
Finished in a scratch-resistant Ebony finish that looks like real wood, the SPL Series subwoofers feature a 12-inch long-throw Cerametallic woofer and can deliver a maximum acoustic output of 118dB with 600 watts of power. The enclosure is made of MDF, ensuring a durable and reliable housing for the high-performance components.
Overall, the Klipsch SPL Series subwoofers offer a step-up in performance from the Reference Series, providing best-in-class MAX output levels, exceptional low-frequency response, and advanced features like wireless connectivity and tuning options, all at an affordable price point.
